I beg to differentiate between what doowen posted and what truly happened.

For days doowen had been quite upset about many things. He also had decided to
stop helping anyone, remove everything that he had given to others, be it by vault
or placed in their hands, (whether it was still actually there or if new had been
placed there more recently) and decidedly started mocking this character repeatedly.

As for the fight, no it wasn't short, it took quite some time. In fact, if it
weren't for the fact that I was quick in moving and such, it would have been
over sooner.

In the end, Matrim did die. And it was Doowen who cast the final (13th) prismatic
spray that killed him. But to just suppose that I attacked a pacifist for no reason
is far beyond the normal realm of sanity. The reason has now been explained.
