beach. The rolling dunes of the small beach can be seen from here quite easily. The trees in the
forest can be seen much clearer from where you now stand. Making them all the more inviting as well
as peaceful to you. A small butterfly appears out of nowhere and does a quick dance before your eyes
before flying deep back into the forest.

the forest ground interlocking as one. A quiet, swift breeze blows by lifting up a few leaves in its

from a distance, creating an eerie resounding echo here.

Silent Forest

The branches of the forest trees create a canopy of greenery high above you. Some of the lower
branches, however, have begun to hang and kiss the ground softly, spreading the silent disease that
has just begun here. In some places, roots break through the surface and in other places, tiny
plants wilt, having been denied the opportunity to establish their own roots.

Petrified Forest

The path is blocked to the north by craggy, jutting slabs of rock, seemingly pushed upward from the
bowels of the earth. The only passage leads deeper into the crystalized forest, or back from whence
you came. Either way, as you peer towards the horizon, the only things you can see are the huge,
petrified trees that have haunted you all this time.

A small clearing greets you, offering a place to rest for a moment before continuing your journey
through the great forest. As you peer around, trying to understand the fact that time seems to
stand still here, your eyes come to rest on a small plant on the side of the path. It's leaves are
smooth as polished stone, but a beautiful butterfly is encased upon it, held captive by whatever
poison has demolished this forest.

A branch whistles past your face as you walk quickly through the forest. You hastily push it out of
the way, but it breaks like glass under the weight of your arm. As you stare at the bits of
crystalized wood, you cannot help but wonder what mystical evil has invaded this forest.

Petrified Forest

This ring of petrified trees seems neverending. Just when you think you will never see sweet, green
life, you notice bits of shrubbery to the northwest. As you stoop to inspect the leafy plants, your
blood runs cold. At their base is the same crystalized encasing that covers the rest of the forest.
It seems to have stopped spreading here, after freezing everything it encountered. As tiny ants
crackle underneath your feet, you shudder to think of how quickly this must have happened.

The path is strewn with so much debri it is hard to see the dirt of the forest floor. As leaves and
twigs crackle underfoot, your eyes scan the surrounding area for any sign of life. It is hard to
see very far, however, because a slight fog seems to have rolled in. You notice several broken
branches on the dreary trees, and you peer frantically around, trying to get a glimpse of what you
KNOW is out there.

The tops of the trees sway to and fro, creating a sound like an urgent whisper. You gasp as the
monotonous silence is broken, a sound foreign to your ears for so long. A few plants struggle
defiantly against the disease that threatens their world. Tall, thin trees peek through the
ever-thickening fog, adding to the eerie and dismal aura this forest emits.

An extremely large tree almost cuts the path off. You stare up in awe of its supreme beauty,
grace, and age. The roots tangle themselves around each other in an almost web pattern. The tree is
home to many creatures, and you see them scamper in some of the higher branches.

You push yourself past a fir branch and you hear the wind whip as it swings back into place. The
noice startles a pheasent, and it flies off deeper into the forest. Thistles tug at your legs as you
push your way deeper into the dense growth surrounding you.

victim to its wrath. Crystalized sap clings to petrified bark on several trees. The leaves
themselves are petrified, and you shudder as you realize they are razor-sharp. When the wind blows,
nudging them gently, you get the feeling you should leave.

see very far, however, because a slight fog seems to have rolled in. You notice several broken
branches on the dreary trees, and you peer frantically around, trying to get a glimpse of what you
KNOW is out there.

This ring of petrified trees seems neverending. Just when you think you will never see sweet, green
life, you notice bits of shrubbery to the northwest. As you stoop to inspect the leafy plants, your
blood runs cold. At their base is the same crystalized encasing that covers the rest of the forest.
It seems to have stopped spreading here, after freezing everything it encountered. As tiny ants
crackle underneath your feet, you shudder to think of how quickly this must have happened.

The copper-speckled soil beneath your feet is full of nutrients, for the trees that surround you
seem healthy and plentiful as they crowd each other for room and for sunlight. The lower limbs of
the trees push other branches away, like young boys sparring. Directly above you, an oak and asearch

maple tree are permanently joined, for several of their branches have weaved in and around each
other, forming an airy ladder between the two strong trees.

Tangled Forest

Wide trees, their limbs fanning out as they drape downward, shade the dark soil beneath your feet
from all but the smallest pinpoints of light. Thick grooved bark of the maples and oaks around is
easily peeled off the large tree trunks, and you are slightly tempted to carve your own initials
into the soft wood. The silence of the forest around you, though, is almost pristine, and you are
unable to taint this sanctuary by marring the nature around you.

path, to slowly float down to the earthly green forest entrance.

More soft sand seemingly pulls your feet down into the ground as you make your way along the
beach. The rolling dunes of the small beach can be seen from here quite easily. The trees in the
forest can be seen much clearer from where you now stand. Making them all the more inviting as well
as peaceful to you. A small butterfly appears out of nowhere and does a quick dance before your eyes
before flying deep back into the forest.

Your feet sink slowly into the soft sand as you walk dreamily along. The breeze sends a fine
salty spray your way, and you inhale the sea air deeply. Ahead, to the northeast, you see a high
crest of trees. They seem to be keeping watch over this beach yet, they seem somehow forboding. As
a wave gently kisses the shore, all your worries disappear.

Wide trees, their limbs fanning out as they drape downward, shade the dark soil beneath your feet
from all but the smallest pinpoints of light. Thick grooved bark of the maples and oaks around is
easily peeled off the large tree trunks, and you are slightly tempted to carve your own initials
into the soft wood. The silence of the forest around you, though, is almost pristine, and you are
unable to taint this sanctuary by marring the nature around you.

The copper-speckled soil beneath your feet is full of nutrients, for the trees that surround you
seem healthy and plentiful as they crowd each other for room and for sunlight. The lower limbs of
the trees push other branches away, like young boys sparring. Directly above you, an oak and a
maple tree are permanently joined, for several of their branches have weaved in and around each
other, forming an airy ladder between the two strong trees.

up ahead. As you strain to place the sound, you shudder, for it seems to emerge from all around
you, even the ground itself.

beach. The rolling dunes of the small beach can be seen from here quite easily. The trees in the
forest can be seen much clearer from where you now stand. Making them all the more inviting as well
as peaceful to you. A small butterfly appears out of nowhere and does a quick dance before your eyes
before flying deep back into the forest.

This is the southern section of the main dock of Belgar's Haven. The main dock stretches far
to the north from here and is the only accessway to the piers. Directly to your east, the side of a
building blocks not only your view of the city, but passage in that direction as well. Directly to
your west is a pier, with what seems to be a community ran ship. Maybe it runs to one of the isles.

Belgar's Haven: Main Dock.

You have come to the main dock of Belgar's Haven. It is here that the main dock connects to
the piers that once served as the primary point of commerce and the lifeblood of Belgar's Haven.
Even the largest ships could dock upon the piers if the need arose. While trade slipped in the
recent years, the town council just rebuilt the central pier to accomadate an influx of private
shipping.

The Northern Pier seems to be in fairly good shape. Although as you walk upon it, it creaks
and groans under your weight, giving you cause to be wary. To your east you can see the main dock
of Belgar's Haven, and to the west, you have a perfect view over the beautiful Sword Sea and all the
islands that are close to shore. Maybe if you tried one of the main piers, you could go for a swim.
You even see a few boats out on the water.

Belgar's Haven: Market Street

You are on a wide street in the small coastal town of Belgar's Haven. The street is paved with
dirt, and you can tell that it is well worn, for there are deep ruts where the wheels of wagons pass
through here. However, there don't seem to be any wagons now. The town is a quiet place now.
There is none of the bustling about that you would expect in a town, even one this small. You don't
even see many people here... It seems like the town of Belgar's Haven is on its last legs, and
dying. You can see that this part of the street leads West to the town docks, and East to the
Intersection. There is a shop of some sort to the South, and a large complex to the North. It
appears to be a large shipyard, once full of bustle, but now eerily silent.

Belgar's Haven: Intersection

This is an intersection, and also the Public Square of the town of Belgar's Haven. The place
seems fairly quiet right now, for the few people that are here are going about their own business.
You can see that they are dressed in old, shabby clothing, but they don't seem to mind. There is a
large pole in the middle of the square here, with several messages posted on it.

You have entered Thraddash's Pub, a local gathering place for the people of Belgar's Haven.
The place is quiet and clean, though few people are here at the moment. The place has only a few
decorations, all nautical in design. On one wall hangs a painting of a magnificent sailing ship,
and a large ship-in-a-bottle sits on the bar. Other than that, the place is rather dull. A large
menu has been hung on one wall for you to read.

Sword Sea Coast: Sahieren Beach

You are on the Sahieren Coastline, just outside the coastal town of Beldar's Haven. The town
lies to the southwest, and the beach you are continues to the East. The vast expanses of the Ocean
lie to the West, stretching off as far as you can see. To the East, you see a massive stone cliff
rising into the air some two hundred feet. Off to the Northwest, you can see a rocky point, upon
which sits a small tower, made of grey rock.
