Actually, judging by his size, he is more like a boulder.  Unremarkably gray
with an unevenly cut surface, Korpetit appears to be made of hard granite. 
Looking closely, you think you can discern a face.  Wait a moment, of course
you see a face;  he's a rock.  No, you think there is an anthropomorphic (never
thought you'd see THAT word here?) visage carved into one of the rock's sides.
