The captain says, "Take us out, helm."

The hulking ship moves slowly away from the pier and begins to pick up speed as
the mighty sails are raised and filled with the coastal winds.

Time begins to slip away from you as your attention settles on the gentle
swaying of the ship and the creaking of the mast. The rythmic pulse of the
waves lulls you into contentment.

Take a little off the main sail!"

Several young men quickly tend to the captain's order. Other crewmen jostle
about the deck making sure everything is perfect.

The mighty ship has hit her second wind and glides across the open sea,
majestically challenging any hazards that dare stand in her way.

The captain shouts, "Drop the foresail, lads. Slow her down now."


The ship begins to slow slightly as she approaches land. A hazy fog rolls onto
the deck from the dark waters.

The captain shouts, "Drop sails, boys. Ride her in, helm."

The helmsman says, "Aye, sir." The pier approaches quickly as the majestic ship
slows dramatically with the fall of the sails. Crewmen busy themselves stowing
the sails neatly and tying them down.

The ship slows to a halt as men from the pier throw lines to the crewmen.
Within seconds the ship is tied down securely to the pier.

cheers and laughter from the crew.

Belgar's Haven:  Southern Pier.

   Here, at the Southern Pier, you notice that it is still in good shape and is
totally serviceable.  Rumors that a renegade captain docks here on occasion
could certainly be supported by the condition of the pier.  To the east you can
see the main dock of Belgar's Haven.
