and the rope railing has long since decayed.  You look over the the side of the
bridge into the gorge below.  It must have once held a river of some sort but
now only jagged edge rocks are there to cushion your fall if you happen to make
a wrong step.  The bridge continues on to the northeast whilst the road to
shadowfall lies to the southwest.

There are two obvious exits : northeast and south.
