the tunnel wall, and as you look more closely, you realize it's some type of

Underdark:  Upper Spider Tunnels

The tunnel looks more like a path now, and the walls have been smoothly cut.
You can tell they were fashioned by the best miners.  The black rock is so
shiny you can almost see your reflection.  Small amounts of water drip from the
ceiling, and as you look more closely at the walls, you can see small amounts
of moss here.  With the moisture in the air and the lack of sunlight, this
isn't too surprising.

Underdark:  Upper Spider Tunnels

The tunnel looks more like a path now, and the walls have been smoothly cut.
You can tell they were fashioned by the best miners.  The black rock is so
shiny you can almost see your reflection.  Small amounts of water drip from the
ceiling, and as you look more closely at the walls, you can see small amounts
of moss here.  With the moisture in the air and the lack of sunlight, this
isn't too surprising.

Underdark:  Upper Spider Tunnels

The tunnel looks more like a path now, and the walls have been smoothly cut.
You can tell they were fashioned by the best miners.  The black rock is so
shiny you can almost see your reflection.  Small amounts of water drip from the
ceiling, and as you look more closely at the walls, you can see small amounts
of moss here.  With the moisture in the air and the lack of sunlight, this
isn't too surprising.

The tunnel extends to the northwest and the east, and the walls here are smooth
to the touch and shiny like a mirror.  Small amounts of moss grow on the tunnel
walls, and a chill wind blows down the damp tunnel.  Looking more closely at
the ceiling, you can see small amounts of water dripping to the floor.  In fact
the gentle splashing of these droplets is the only sound you can hear.

This tunnel is filled with signs of recent excavation.  Large piles of rubble
sometimes block your way forcing you to scramble over them.  The air here seems
very heavy and you suddenly feel very confined in this cramped tunnel.  As you
raise your eyes to the tunnel's ceiling, you see a small opening far above you.
The walls here are spotted with deep gouges.

There is one obvious exit: south.

The tunnel here seems a bit wider.  Flecks of glowing magenta moss spot the
cavern walls, and trickles of moisture run along the tunnel, forming small
pools on the ground.  You proceed cautiously, stepping carefully so as to not
dampen your boots.

     At one time, in the not so distant past, there must have been a cave-in
here.  Large rocks and dirt litter the tunnel floor and the only exit you can
see leads down.  The ceiling sags down to right above your head... you hope
this doesn't mean that it could collapse at any minute.  There is a musty
dampness to the air that reminds you, for some reason, of the sea.

There is one obvious exit: down.

above your head, and you can hear the echo of your footsteps as you proceed
cautiously along.  Faint traces of a strange moss line the northern wall, and
you see an exit up through the ceiling at that north end.
