about at random and badly worn lengths of rope and canvas are underfoot.

 The Captain smiles and says something completely unintelligible, his breath

 A small creature scurries past your ankle, but before you can return to the
dock, a shout echoes in a foreign tongue and the ship lurches away from it's
moorings.

from the sky to the ground as the icestorm appears around her.

 As if recognizing you as it's next meal, the shark lunges at your legs.

something traditionally dwarven.

 The ship shudders as the mast shears cleanly and slowly topples into the sea,
carrying the shark and the luckless sailor with it.

 Your heart pounding, you hear a shout from forward that can only mean  "Land
Ho" and you can see the docks of Belgar's Haven in the distance.

The land is lit up by the eerie light of the waxing three quarter moon.

Belgar's Haven:  Southern Pier.

   Here, at the Southern Pier, you notice that it is still in good shape and is
totally serviceable.  Rumors that a renegade captain docks here on occasion
could certainly be supported by the condition of the pier.  To the east you can
see the main dock of Belgar's Haven.
