It is night and the waxing quarter moon is hidden by the clouds.

Outside of Daggerford:  East Gate

     You are standing just outside of the eastern gate leading into the city of
Daggerford.  Traffic is moderate in this area, consisting of merchants,
travellers, and a few adventurers stopping within the walls for a good night's
rest or an infamous Axereaver in Lady Luck Tavern.  A cobblestone road begins
here, entering the town beyond the massive iron bound gate.  To your east, the
dusty and well travelled highway to Shadowfall continues, while a grassy path
makes its way around the perimiter of the city to both your north and south,
hugging the outer wall.
