The black knight

A battle took place the other day between a black knight and an elf with
scimitars in each hand.  The fight went back and forth with both sides doing
damage until the elf successfully landed a disarm and the knight left with only
a shield.
The knight didn't look too worried though, and in fact proceeded to bash the
elf senseless with his shield.  I (along with most onlookers) was in shock at
the effectiveness of using the shield as a weapon.
