Lizard and Gnome?

A strange deal that'd put even the shadiest of deals to shame took place in the
swamps the other day.  A gnome and a lizard king did strike a bargain, about
what?  I have no idea, for I couldn't understand the rambling of the gnome nor
the hissing of the lizard.
They DID shake hands though (and the site was quite comical).
Both marched off deeper into the swamps afterwards...
