An answer for a change.

Taniwha wandered in for a quiet drink,
long time, no see I thinks ...
He asked if that riddle about the ring had ever been solved ?

When everyone in the bar threw their drinks over him, I THINK he
understood that as a "NO!"

Well he said, if thats your attitude ......

and grinned as we all winced (more at the waste of good beer than
in fear in truth....)

O.K. it WAS simple, the ring destroyed any undead who wore it.
It's very useful for newbies who die a lot, those damned undead
are a pain to kill ... BUT they also automatically wear any items
you may have had on you.

So, a newbie who wore that ring never had to worry about beating
his own spectre to death to recover equipment.

Needless to say, there was a loud groan from the bar, and another
round of drinks (pegged at Taniwha).
