Cloning Around

Another one of those creepy drow wizards walked in here a few days ago, all
decked out in his fancy black robes grinning evilly at all the customers.
He seemed sort of on the sneaky side, but after putting back a few (so much
for drow self-control), he said he developed the perfect illusion that
allows him to clone himself.  Seemed a bit far-fetched to me.
All his studies he stored on a scroll and when he tried it out
some creature sensed the magic and pounced on him.  The combined power of
that creature and the draining effect of the clone caused him to retreat
after losing the scroll.
Well seems to me that a sneaky wizard of similar make could follow in that
drow's footsteps, hey even I could use a clone of myself every now and
then.
