Way back when, many years ago, Shadowfall was one of the busiest towns in
these realms.  There were lots of shops, lots of bustling taverns, and
plenty of interesting people.  The head of the trading industry was Mengor
Mallex.  One day however, there was a great war in Shadowfall.  Legend has
it Mallex was the root of the problems.  During the conflict, Shadowfall
fell into ruin.  Poverty was everywhere and slums were popping up all over
town. Maybe if it is discovered why Mallex was the problem one might be able
to lead Shadowfall into greatness once more.
