Missing your purse?

This news was told to me by a slick haired gent with more attention given to
his mug of beer than to actual facts, but it should be worth something cause
I've heard the like from elsewhere.

        "Now I've see some slippery fella's come in and out that door.  If
        you was to turn your back for a minute you would be missing your
        money or your weapon."

        "Now the word around here is that an evil scourge has moved into
        these realms.  The likes of which we have never seen.  They say he
        came from the north but i doubt if anyone saw him coming.  He's too
        sneaky.  I've heard many a stories about him.  Mostly of missing
        goods.  I just asumed it must have been him.  He must have a huge
        pile of loot around here somewhere.  I wouldn't be surprised if a
        dragon didn't smell it and come running.  If only he could be
        stopped.  I bet the good folks around here would let the man that'
        stopped him have his pick of the treasure."

Personally from what I've seen of the people round here I'd advise swiping
what I could and running like hell before anyone else found out, but then
I'm frail and old, what would I know ?
